 Luke Drummond

Luke founded Luke Drummond Builders with his wife Nikki back in 1996.  A multi Award Winning boutique builder that specialises in custom design and high quality construction, Luke Drummond Builders concentrate on constructing individual 'one-of-kind' homes.  Luke has over 20 years experience in the construction industry. Completing his Apprenticeship as a Carpenter/Joiner, then sub-contracting to a variety of domestic and commercial builders for the next 5 years. Learning a wide range of skills and being exposed to the operations of a number of businesses, Luke soon recognised he had a passion for building unique and challenging projects and he developed his goal of becoming a high quality builder in his own right.

The business has grown from a small operation to it's current position in a niche market as a boutique builder of lower volume, premium quality homes to a variety of budgets and diverse styles. He works closely with his clients and staff and is fully involved in all aspects of the business operations. Luke manages the construction team and is involved in the design, estimating and customer service aspects. His time is divided equally between overseeing and advising the construction team as well as assisting with design and liasing with engineers, surveyors, pool builders, landscapers and other participants in the building process.

Luke is well regarded in his industry, with a reputation for completing innovative and challenging projects, especially the ones that require extensive research and development. His commitment to this goal has been recognised, being awarded a number of Industry Awards for domestic building, with his greatest honours being awarded the MBAV Regional Builder of the Year for 2005.

Now serving on the Master Builders Association of Victoria Country Sector Committee, Luke is involved at the industry level and he has continued to develop his skills with extensive training and ongoing participation in industry courses.

His latest challenge is to enter the Commercial construction market, again focusing on a low volume of projects to create a separate division of the business, with the vision of applying his domestic building skills, innovation and quality into a new market.
